AskFolder
Terms of use
The short version. AskFolder is free to use. It runs on your computer and finds passages in your own files; check every answer against the document it cites before you rely on it.
Using AskFolder
- You may use AskFolder for personal and work purposes, free of charge, within the free limits shown on the site.
- Only open files you have the right to read. Your files stay yours; AskFolder never receives them.
- Don't attack, overload or try to break the website, or copy and resell AskFolder itself.
No advice, no warranty
AskFolder finds and ranks passages; it does not give legal, medical, financial or any other professional advice, and it can miss a passage or rank the wrong one first. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, RPTX LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the strength of an answer. Our total liability for the free service is limited to US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
AskFolder Pro
Pro costs US$9 a month or US$79 a year, plus any sales tax or VAT shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our reseller, Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all orders and handles billing, receipts, taxes and refunds under its buyer terms.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or by writing to us. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and isn't charged again.
- No account. After paying, your browser receives a Pro license. To use Pro in another browser, enter the order number from your receipt there.
Refunds
If Pro isn't right for you, ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, or of a yearly renewal, and you'll get it, no questions asked. Write to [email protected] with your order number, or reply to your Paddle receipt. Refunds go back to the way you paid, through Paddle. Monthly renewals after the first month aren't refunded, but you can cancel at any time so the next one doesn't happen. Nothing here limits your rights under the consumer law where you live.
